Eligibility

Accommodation at the Sri Lanka Buddhist Pilgrims' Rest is primarily intended for pilgrims visiting Buddhist religious sites in India. Priority will be given to pilgrims. All reservations must be made in advance and are subject to availability. Other Sri Lankan or international visitors may be considered at management's discretion, depending on room availability and purpose of visit.

Maximum Duration of Stay

Guests are permitted to stay for a maximum of 07 consecutive days. Extensions will not be granted except under exceptional circumstances, approved by the High Commission.

Check-in / Check-out Time

Check-in: 1:00 p.m. · Check-out: 11:30 a.m.

Passport

All guests must present a valid passport and visa (or appropriate Indian ID in the case of Indian nationals) at the time of check-in.

Respectful Behaviour

Guests must conduct themselves in a respectful and courteous manner towards other residents and staff. Refrain from loud conversations, unruly behaviour, arguments and playing loud music. Maintain a peaceful atmosphere and dress modestly, respectful of cultural norms.

Cleanliness

Guests are responsible for keeping their rooms and shared facilities clean and tidy. Littering is strictly prohibited.

No Smoking or Alcohol Consumption

Smoking, use of tobacco, drugs or other intoxicants including alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited within the premises. This includes both possession and consumption.

No Cooking in Rooms

Cooking is only permitted in designated kitchen areas. Use of electric cookers, hot plates, or open flames in rooms is prohibited.

No Gambling or Illegal Activities

Any form of gambling, possession of illegal substances, or unlawful activity will result in immediate eviction and possible legal action.

No Visitors in Rooms

Only registered guests are permitted in the rooms. Visitors are not allowed in guest rooms without prior permission from the management.

Common Areas

Guests must maintain silence and respect the sanctity of prayer/meditation rooms and other shared areas.

Laundry

Laundry is to be done only in designated areas. Hanging clothes in windows, balconies, or public areas is not allowed.

Loss or Damage

Guests will be held responsible for any damage caused to the property. Loss or theft of keys or items must be reported immediately.

Utilities

Water and electricity and all resources must be used in a responsible manner.

Valuables

Management is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings. Guests are advised to keep their valuables secure.

Fire Safety

Guests must cooperate with fire safety rules. Tampering with fire alarms, extinguishers, or emergency exits is a serious offence.

Cooperation with Caretaker & Management

All guests must cooperate with the caretaker and management team.

Donations & Fundraising

If any guests are providing any donations to the Pilgrims’ Rest, they should be clearly stated and recorded. No unauthorised fund raising should take place.

Right to Refuse or Terminate Accommodation

The management reserves the right to deny or terminate accommodation without notice in case of non-compliance with these rules.
